"And this word, Yet once more, signifieth the removing of those things that are shaken, as of things that are made, that those things which cannot be shaken may remain. Wherefore we receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have grace, whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear: for our God is a consuming fire.
Hebrews 12:27 - 29
Can you STAND to be shaken? Hebrews 12 speaks of God's new covenant; His promise to the church of the firstborn. In verses 27 – 29 He speaks of His shaking of us to perfect us. Often in life we go through situations that cause us to be shaken, it seems like our whole world may tremble. But if you are living by grace and seeking God’s will for your life, know this – God will shake your world to remove those things that appear to be made for you but are not.
You see, it’s sometimes easy to inspect our own life and throw out the obvious trash. But God sees more clearly than we see. He knows those barnacles and leaches that we harbor that are not of Him. He knows these things that cling fast to us, draining us of time, resources and interfering with His will and intent for our life. He also knows just how to shake us to cause a release to prepare us for the increase -– a release from ungodly burdens, a release from material things that bring us no spiritual wealth, a release from ‘self’, a release from our attitude, fears and man-made idols.
The ‘shaken season’ is often a time of discomfort because we are faced with the unfamiliar and the unknown but if we hold fast to God…if we endure the process of true consecration we will come to know Him better. We will come to a place of respect for God’s awesome power and ability to keep us in His perfect peace…to know that His grace is sufficient and His power can consume all of our situations and bring us through as pure gold. Amen

“Go and cry in the ears of Jerusalem, saying, Thus saith the Lord; I remember thee, the kindness of thy youth, the love of thine espousals, when thou wentest out in the wilderness, in a land that was not sown.” Jeremiah 2:2
To the children of God, know that He has not forgotten you. In times of need we may sometimes feel as though we are starting a fresh in unsown land...no answers, no solutions...not even a seed of hope. We may be in a recession, or in a land where Christians are fighting and dying for freedom. We may be standing for diplomacy or recovering from catastrophic natural, criminal or war time disasters. Or maybe in our own secret prayer closet we are just praying for a loved one to hold on for one more day or for a change to come. Whatever your need, know that there is always hope.
God remembers you even in the most barren of places. He knows your heart; he knows your prayers, he knows your iniquities, and the every details of your situation and he holds the answers in the palm of his hand. Just as the Lord our God is the salvation of Israel (Jer. 3:23); likewise is our salvation at the hands of the almighty God, in Jesus’ Name. Be ever encouraged and prayerful. For our faith is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not seen. (Hebrews 11:1) Amen

“The earth is the LORD'S, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein.” Psalm 24:1
I’ve often heard people say, “I just don’t feel like I belong…”. They could be speaking of a particular place, job, home, or even within a group of friends or family. I myself have had moments in my life when I just felt out of place. Often times it’s this feeling of not belonging that drives humans to seek compassion in strange places…with strangers who are not intended for their life – friends who may not have your best intensions at heart. Or even jobs that aren’t the answer to our prayers…not God’s will for our life. But what a blessing it is to know today that God has a place where you belong!
The bible says , “The earth is the Lord’s and the fullness thereof…” Which means all of this great world belongs to Him and He has the power to establish you wherever He desires. If you allow Him to bless your life, He will plant you exactly where you belong. Furthermore, the scripture says,” …they that dwell therein” also belong to the Lord. So not only will He perfectly plant your feet, but you also belong to Him. In other words, you are an important part of the family of God…one of His beloved children and as such, you have a special place in God’s heart. So whenever you feel out of place, remember there is a place where you belong…in the hands of a loving most high Father God. Amen.

Jonah 2:6 "I went down to the bottoms of the mountains; the earth with her bars was about me for ever: yet hast thou brought up my life from corruption, O LORD my God."
Sometimes in our omitting to seek God’s unadulterated will for our life, we find ourselves inadvertently stepping out of grace, off of the high place that He has prepared for us, and into a place of challenges, temptations, lack of peace, and troubles. Jonah was in this situation as he prayed to God from the belly of the fish. But rest assured that just as God delivered Jonah, He will do the same for us. Just as Jonah did, all we have to do is humble ourselves before The Lord and acknowledge that we are out of His ‘perfect’ will and seeking His grace and direction. The Lord is faithful to deliver us and set us back on the path to peace. Know today that your steps are ordered by the Lord and He has a great purpose for your life. Regardless of the challenge, we are in great care when we stay on the mountain top and walk in the path of our heavenly Father. In Jesus’ name…Amen.

"I have glorified thee on the earth: I have finished the work which thou gavest me to do." John 17:4
In this world today, we become so busy with a host of activities and priorities; but what amongst these things really brings honor to God? Jesus said before going to the cross that he had glorified God on earth. In other words, he lived a life that brought honor and recognition to our most high God. He went on to say he'd finished the work that God gave onto him...his purpose was fulfilled. What a satifying wonder that must be.
I encouraged you today to set aside every weight that so easily besets you...all of the things that absorb your time, talents, and strength from the true work of God according to His purpose for your life. In doing so, may we all be fruitful in Him and blessed enough to one day be able to say, "Father I lived a life that honored you...and I completed the work you entrusted to me....In Jesus' Name, Amen."

Luke 5:5 — And Simon answering said unto him, Master, we have toiled all the night, and have taken nothing: nevertheless at thy word I will let down the net.
When young in the ministry, it seems as though God just blesses our every step...to encourage us to move forward in confidence in Him. However, there are times, when God is calling us to a higher level of faith and obedience, we may not see the immediate fruit of our labors, no matter how hard we apply ourselves. But know ye today that if we just say yes, regardless of how tired we may be, how many times we've attempted, or how many empty nets we've pulled--if we just say 'yes' to the Lord and let those nets down one more time at His will...the fruits of our labors shall overflow.
Be blessed and encouraged today knowing that God desires to overflow your nets to His glory.

To impart mercy and forgiveness is our God's desire to the extent that he gave his only begotten son for the pardon of our sins. So take a stand against the enemy today. If there be any transgression from yesterday, allow the Lord to forgive you...and then forgive yourself...and move on. For you are covered with the mercy of a loving and pardoning God.

“Therefore seeing we have this ministry, as we have received mercy, we faint not." 2 Corinthians 4:1
Know today that your work is not in vain but rather it has a purpose in the eyes of God and it is a blessing to those in your path. Therefore, be encouraged and rejuvenated knowing that the mercies of God will support, uphold and strengthen you through all things. For Psalm 100 confirms, "His mercy is everlasting..." and so is our ability to perform the things He has appointed to our hands.

“And now abideth faith, hope, and charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.” I Corinthians 13:13
By the grace of God through His Son, Jesus Christ we can live daily with faith and hope in the promises of God and His preordained purpose for our life. In this we can be confident. Why? Because of His unfailing love for us…charity. This love, the Bible says, is strong enough to cover a multitude of sins (James 5:20 and I Peter 4:8.) In other words, it is a forgiving love that opens the door so that we may freely continue to exercise the faith and hope that helps us to achieve our God-given purpose…and share the wonderful gift of charity that will encourage others to do the same.

“He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust…” Psalm 91:4a
What a joy it is to know that we are covered by something that is so much greater than we are. It’s comforting to know that like the mightiest of wings, the Lord shields us from stormy times and protects us from pestilence and predators that seek to disturb our peace. His wings carry us and plant us on high places of success and provision; supplying just enough exposure to the wind to propel us forward and enough shelter to keep us safe – enough sun to provide warmth and light and enough shade to provide a place of rest. His feathers ever taking the brunt force so that we never have to bear the full weight of any storm. Thank you, Lord, for covering us with your feathers. In your wings we fully trust.

“…Who [then] is willing to consecrate his service this day unto the LORD?”1 Chronicles 29:5
King David made this basic inquiry of the leaders and children of Israel for the purpose of God’s work… for the building of His temple. David himself was the first to offer the best and bounty of his own riches and then asking who would join him in the blessing of giving. The response was overwhelming:
“Then the people rejoiced, for that they offered willingly, because with perfect heart they offered willingly to the LORD: and David the king also rejoiced with great joy.” 1 Chronicles 29:9
Oh what an honor it is to give unto the Lord with a willing heart -- to give your best according to the measures of your own time, talents, and offerings. For there is nothing that we can give that God cannot restore unto us a hundred times over but the real blessing is that through our willingness, we become investors in a plan that is so much bigger than what we could ever accomplish on our own. We can encourage millions and millions of souls to press on, we can educate thousands who are yearning to learn, share love with some who thought they were not worthy of it, and make a positive difference in lives worldwide. That’s cause enough to rejoice.
When the children of Israel willingly consecrated their service to God on that day, they made an investment in the life of you and me. “Who then is willing to consecrate his service this day unto the LORD?"
